Sesame-Ume Salad Dressing

This versatile dressing is delicious on pasta salads or grain salads and it is also a perfect seasoning for steamed or blanched broccoli cabbage cauliflower or green beans.
2 Tablespoons tahini (ground sesame seed paste)
1 Tablespoon umeboshi paste or minced umeboshi
1 teaspoon toasted sesame or extra virgin olive oil
1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
3 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, preferably flat leaf
2 Tablespoons thinly sliced green onion scallion or 1 tablespoon snip chives
4 Tablespoons water or fresh squeezed orange juice
1 small clove garlic minced (optional)
The dressing should have body but it should be thin enough to pour easily makes about 3/4 of a cup preparation time about 7 minutes.
